First Skydive
You’ve finally made the decision to jump out of a perfectly good airplane! We can’t wait to introduce you to the world of skydiving! USPA reports in the US 3.3 million jumps were made in 2018. Join the one percent that skydive every year!
What to Expect
Tandem skydiving has become the preferred method of skydiving. You’ll attach directly to the front of a certified instructor and enjoy an exhilarating 60 seconds of free fall from up to 13,500 feet, followed by a peaceful five minute canopy ride. You may have the opportunity to actively participate in directing the canopies flight towards the landing area. Very few skydiving schools give you the opportunity to fly the canopy during a tandem jump.
After 20-30 minutes of training with your instructor you will be ready for your first skydive! You can relax knowing that you are attached to a United States Parachute Association certified instructor who will handle all the details. Yes, that’s right, RELAX!
What’s Next
Many people have found a tandem skydive is a great ice breaker into the world of skydiving! Prospective skydivers interested in obtaining a USPA skydiving license only need to complete one tandem skydive in order to advance to our accelerated freefall program (AFF). This student program consists of ground training and a series of 25 jumps. To learn more, visit the “Become Licensed” section.

What to Bring
Take pride in knowing that you have accomplished what less than 1% of the world has ever done! All you need to bring with you is a government issued photo ID, a good pair of tennis shoes and comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing. Anyone with long hair should ensure they have a hair-tie and leave the jewelry at home. Don’t jump with anything in your pockets, or anything you wouldn’t want to lose in the sky. In case of weather delays, etc., plan to be at the airport for at least half a day (6 hours) when coming for a tandem skydive. We also have snacks and beverages available for purchase, but feel free to bring your own coolers!
